“Liquid Void” is the name given to a dark black syrupy liquid that is made by cooking unprocessed Comfrey flowers into a liquid base and then fermented. This form of the illegal drug is incredibly potent and leads to hallucinations and false physical sensations. The drug effects the part of the brain that “talks” with the nervous system and causes the hallucinations to even “feel” real. People on liquid void speak of “actually flying”. The euphoria produced by the drug is incredibly potent (if short lived) and then followed by very strong withdrawal symptoms that usually start just hours after the last drink.
It is not uncommon for those who drink Liquid Void to harm themselves or others due to the strong hallucinations, or due to their memories being fried by the drug (thinking they can actually fly and jumping off of buildings, etc). The withdrawal symptoms also drive many to violence as they look for their next drink.
Use of Liquid Void is seldom seen in public, and due to it’s obvious side-effects and difficulty in production, is very rare. But for that reason, it is one of the most-punishable offenses one can incur.
